Last night’s broadcast completely blew me away… I had something planned, i did, it was all worked out. See, I’ve been going through so much internally lately with regards to love, sex, romance, friendship, and who I want to be in this world. I made the decision to be alone. My decision, a conscious one, and something I am entirely at peace with. I had some exposition, a few thoughts I’d written down, and a lovely set of fairly interesting techno to play, over which I wanted to sing, speak, and work out these ideas.
Well, see then I spent the day in Marin and I found myself under a blanket in Bolinas eating the most delicious food, car sick on highway one, laughing and splashing at the base of a dam with my feet soaking wet, and covered in the sweetest kisses. After a whole day of so much light, I just didn’t have the heart to play any of that music, nor to say any of those words. So I gathered myself together over a cup of tea, and delivered an homage to the amazing days of healing, loving, laughter, and joy I’ve been so blessed with lately.
And so happily, and with love and relief I trusted the likes of Beirut, Satoshi Fumi, Saint Etienne, and Gui Boratto to back me up as I tried with all my heart to share with you some of my sweetest kisses.
