This week, with only 20 more to go in the 11th year of Sunday Soul transmissions I felt it was high time to approach the idea of “Us” against the world. I know it seems silly coming from an artist who both believes that there is no “them” but rather that there is only “us”, but I suspect it’s past time to take a look at our cultural solipsism, and emotional isolation through the eyes of Helen Reddy, Karen Carpenter, and Paul Williams don’t you?
