Sexy Dream Miracles EP – Out Now!

Released today:

Sexy Dream Miracles EP

I re edited three classic tunes and really enjoyed myself.

1. You sexy thing – Hot Chocolate
All I really did was syncopate the track for modern DJ mixing… it’s 114 now, which seemed like a fair compromise between the original tempo and modern dance music’s 120 + requirements. I like it slow and low… and I re edited the arrangement to drag out the intro, repeat the chorus, and bust out that middle eight a little better… kiss me… you sexy thing!

2. Dreams – Fleetwood Mac
It’s hard to imagine, but at one time I was humiliated when someone dug my copy of Rumors out of my record racks. I love this album, and I love this song. All I did was syncopate the track to 118 bpm (steady) add a deeper kick drum, and some hats for the chorus. With the exception of a couple little artifacts from time stretching it’s pristine, and feels like the first time.

3. Miracles – Jefferson Starship
I took liberties with this track. It’s funny, actually having met and spent a little time with Gracie… listening to her back up vocals just seemed wrong. So I used three little loops from the original, played some space into it, and some drums, and added a bell. Simple, long, chuggy, trippy, and just the sort of revisioning that makes me dance. Internal, personal, gone.

  1. You know, I might just do that. Thx.

  2. Sam:

Nice! I especially like the “Miracles” re-edit (that one’s more of a remix, right?). Great work!

Speaking of which, I head a track out the other day that reminded me of something you’d be into – “Electricity” by Brendon Moeller. You might want to check it out if you haven’t already…

  3. Hey…

Brendon is amazing. A really nice guy too.
    Good lookin’ out Sam!
