What the waves leave behind…

peach.jpg

If you will be sweet, then be sweet to me. If you will be indifferent, then leave. Please leave. If you will caress me, then grab my face and hold my arms and touch me so softly that my heart bursts. But if you will be cold, and frightened, then please say good night and depart now. It is the silence which breaks my heart more than anything. I can not live with caution or fear. These toxins are fatal to me. For I have swam across the sea to simply smell the hairs at the back of your neck, and look into your eyes. I will wait forever, but I am not waiting any more.

yes, loving and letting go indeed. as buddha says: what you hold onto is already gone. and therein lies a difficult truth, along with the joyous relaxation that we are free.
