The irresistible grip of Candide

I was happy. I was terribly happy. I was much too happy. Something had to be done about it.

So, if anyone needs me I’ll be on the couch reading Voltaire

    You are a true goofball! Have you ever seen the musical? Not a big fan of the musical usually, I LOVE this one, with lyrics (somefimes more than risque) by the great and powerful poet Richard Wilbur, one of my all time faves. Have fun (or is that contraindicative?)
