Statistically speaking

Based on my stattraq report, I am surprised at the activity here. So surprised that I thought I’d let you know the results of my most recent query.

» This place, my personal journal, receives between 1,562 and 2,500 unique hits each day
» The average IP visiting looks at the index page, and at least 2 permalinks.
» My entries receive an average of 2-5 comments.
» The browser you use most is Internet Explorer 6, Safari and Firefox are a distant 2nd and 3rd place.
» People link to me and various essays and entries from all over the inter-web, but the most common referral links come from matt corwine, my sister allison, lorin, dubtribe, google, and a surprising number of rss feeds (hundreds of you read me daily via rss, how interesting.)

The most popular essays here from this year so far are:
» Theists and Atheists
» Master logician
» Coping with the loss of my partner
» The Gumma Gumma
» PUNK: lonesome american memoirs

So if you come to read, snicker, or reply, thank you for making this a fertile and supportive environment for me to clear my head, open my heart, and begin, once more, to thrive. I don’t write this journal for you, I write it for me. Sometimes just writing helps me more than anything else, but your input, and participation is welcome, and appreciated.

Thanks!
