Screen Test

photography: Jason Williams - parallelsite

This may seem a little strange, but I’m shooting a video for my track “We are free.” No, I’m not starring in it, this is a film speed test. The idea is that we film the entire video at several times the speed of the actual song, so in this video I am mouthing the words to what sounds like chipmunks, and then in order to see how well synchronization will work we slow the whole thing down and add the actual song at the right speed back into the movie and try to line it all up. I really like the results, very strange looking and very me.

The video itself will not be starring me, rather kids with sparklers, a cable car, and someone else to mouth the words. I’ll make a cameo appearance toward the end, but only in passing. Can’t wait for principal photography to begin! Meanwhile, enjoy the screen test for film speed and sync.
