I’m off again. This time I’m going back to Washington DC, where I have a lovely quarterly residency at Club Five. This month’s theme is MUSE and I’m bringing guests with me: Saturna and Brad Stylus from Memphis. If you remember my trip to Memphis this year, I gotta say I was completely blown away by the power of these tow DJ’s. Saturna is already my favorite DJ, but checking out the two of them together was like dying and going to deep-head heaven. Electronic, beautiful, and amazing selections and fantastic skills on the decks as well. Truly bélle âme muzique.

I’ll be playing from 1 am until close, bringing a new round of classics and my current DJ set for a live performance/DJ set.

What’s really going to be fun is this week’s sunday soul. We start off at 7pm with Hanik and then at 10pm EST I’ll take over until the end. The party is going to be held on a rooftop, somewhere in Washington DC. The last one of these was amazing, and this one’s going to be even better.

Best of all, if you don’t live in DC, I’ll be broadcasting as always from 90hz.org as well as via sundaysoul.com. So you can listen and cheer at the stars with us if you want to.

If you wanna come to the party
I’m happy to say that you gotta come out to MUSE on saturday night to get the flyer with all the info you need to make the scene on sunday. Why am I happy about that? Well, that’s just a taste of the old country to me, the way we used to do it. Make it a challenge, ask you to get involved, extend our hands with a little bit of magic, and ask for your trust. Makes me so excited just thinking about it.

If you don’t go for all that hub bub, I suppose you could always drive around downtown DC for a few hours on sunday night looking for the mandallas projected on the sides of the buildings around the rooftop, triangulate the location and find us that way… But I really think it would be a lot more fun to just get together two nights in a row and go nuts, right? Yeeeahhh….

Just so you know I love you
I know I’ve been out of town a lot in the last year or so, and a lot of my friends keep asking me “When are you gonna play in SF again!!!???” Well… how about Me, Franky Boissy, and Cosmic Jason together at a night called Classique on the last thursday of every month?

It’s on. We’re going to do this at Pink and it’s gonna rock. The idea is to bring some punk to the funk, and get as filthy as possible at Pink’s posh discothéque. So we’ll go from 9 or 10 until 3 am once a month, busting out both the newest electronic tunes as well as a heavy influence from anything and everything which moved our hearts and should before 1990. Not an eighties night, no one’s gonna bust out Culture Club… but I might lay a little Rick Astley on you. You never know what I’m gonna do.
