Jim + Pam

Ok, I’m so ashamed to admit this, but I love to watch The Office. It’s one of my rare guilty pleasures. I think that Steve Karel is a comedy genius, really anything which has come from the Daily Show (my other guilty pleasure, along with House M.D.) is really funny and well done.

But there’s something about The Office which slowly crept up on me, and totally surprised me. Well, last night in the season finale, Jim told Pam that he loves her. Finally. And what’s better is that she loves him too. If you watch the show well then of course you already knew that, it’s been such a wonderfully acted, and totally charming friendship, and Jim finally layed it on the line.

I was grinning like an idiot, and totally choked up. Haven’t liked anything on television this much in something approaching 30 years. And I definitely never thought I’d see the day when I’d be so giddy about it that I might admit it to anyone, let alone post it on my blog.

Hurray for love! Hurray for Hope! Hurray for Jim and Pam.

i don’t watch it regularly, but like the bits that i’ve seen in between me running from the room in embarrassment for whomever. it can be oh-so-painful to watch at times… but clearly the payoff was worth it!

i’m so glad that jim finally said it!! has she finally dumped the perpetual fiancee?

i loved the british original of the office. i haven’t really gotten into the american version since thursdays are a bad night for me, but the snippets of episodes i have seen are actually really good. the british one is so painful i sometimes have to get up and leave the room in the middle of it, and tim and dawn never get together. it’s nice to see that their american counterparts will!

btw, i LOVE house m.d.! he’s such a jerk but in a strangely endearing way.

    Yay for House! Good, huh?

I’ve never seen the Office, since I work most evenings, I haven’t even seen house in way too long. But I’m glad there’s some goodness on the airwaves in TV land.
