Last night a 300lb man covered in tatoos said something to me that really produced a quandry within me. This huge person, with all the light of admiration and respect casually turned to me and said:
Oh my god dude, you are like John Lennon and Andy Kaufman fully reincarnated as a single person. In, like , the totally buddha like way man. Completely.
I wasn’t offended in the least.
But i did spend some time thinking it over…

You know, I think it was a huge compliment…Both of those men were uber-talented, boundary pushers who changed the way people saw their respective creative endeavors (comedy & music). I think you have also acheived such a feat. And then adding buddha completes it so nicely…
I think he made quite an observation.
What quandry did it leave within you??
The irony, the humor, the love in the comment was enough to leave me thinking about Mr. Kaufman, Mr. Lennon, and the Buddha for some time.
Thinking about it now, i still smile from ear to ear, and feel good about myself.
