All I ever wanted out of life was to make music, to be creative, for that to by my trade, to get a record contract, to be in a band, play shows, throw parties which people actually liked, to have a child, a girl or a boy, who I could love tenderly, and raise in a happier, more enlightened way that I was raised, and to find my soul mate, the other half of my heart, the cure and the cause of all my longing, suffering, and loneliness.

At 41, it’s pretty amazing to think that I’ve accomplished all of this already. I am not a lucky man, not in any sense of the word, but I am blessed indeed.
Thank you for the abundance of blessings and all the wonder, friendship, kindness, and love in my life.

What a lovely reflection. May you continue to enjoy the fruits of all those dreams planted long ago and the future harvests of your seedling hopes to come.

I just got done teaching a class on goals-setting, and although this curriculum I was asked to present didn’t juice me up all that much, it did make me stop and recount. Over the years, I’ve had most dreams come true. I used to keep lists, and estimate about +90% of what I wrote down has manifested.

I read something once that inspired me. It was a query to ponder: “What in my life today is the manifestation of past prayers?”

In that context, even my rather mediocre class today is a blessing.

I came across this a few hours ago while flipping through a book called “Folk Wisdom of Mexico”:

La amistad sincera es un alma repartida en dos cuerpos.

True friendship is one soul shared by two bodies.

    A blessed life, indeed.
