I’d been singing this tune in my head for a while. The basic words come from a pretty corny song by Sampson and Delila from back in the eighties. I went to put it together to add to my set on Sunday, and it just sort of rolled right out of me. The mix is a little long to get to the point, but I’m usually all about the lower third of a tune anyhow. I like to keep it deep and simple, take my time, and get there when I get there. Makes dancing more fun, mixing more fascinating, and the layers and textures start moving in all directions. That’s the way I like it. The tune deserves a re edit, and possibly a remix, but I was happy with it and wanted to share. It’s a good reflection of where I’m at right now. Stripped, but building, deep, but powerful. Letting go, and trusting the process.

this happens to be excellent database editing music. its precisely that slow build that keeps me on one track. :)

1. “it’s”
2. … and how many database designers get to dance simultaneously?

Sweet! The bass line and background guitar is great. Nice and deep. As for database designers, I am not sure, but I had this on at work and was groovin through my code. ;-)

I love the response to this song:
“Why is it so long? It takes so long for anthing to happen!”
Going over the heads of the middle ground. S’all right with me.
