And into a couple of very busy weeks…

Classique

classique.jpg

Cosmic Jason and I are spinning tonight at Club Five in DC. My flight doesn’t arrive until about 10:30pm, but Hooman’s going to pick me up in the thing and we’re gonna roll straight to the club. Jason and I will go 30 for 30 until we’ve got a deep and electronic thing going on… then I’ll play a 60 minute live show, maybe longer… dunnoe. And then we’ll go 30 for 30 again until sunrise.

Sunday Soul: Unlimited: Live from Washington DC

sunday-soul.jpg

Sunday I am spending the entire day with my son. I am so excited to see him. He is so excited to see me. Reunion! Yaay!
And then, as if a day with my little boy weren’t perfct enough, I am performing Sunday Soul live from a roof top, somewhere in Washington DC. You can listen on 90hz.org (remember 10 until late eastern time this week.) If you live in the area you can come, it’s free. But you have to come to the Classique party to get the invitation, location, and card required to get in.
Old school… I love it!

Muzique Moderne

On Monday morning I fly up to New York City and (thanks to secret agent Sarah) I’m staying at my favorite New York Hotel, and connecting with Steven Weber of LOVE where sunday soul is about to begin a monthly residence, and Joe B from King Street, and I’m definitely going to DeepSpace this sunday. Jaun Atkins and FK all night. Amazing.

On Tuesday, after several meetings, I’m playing live with Michael Sultan at the new, and quite wonderful Highline Ballroom with Moby, King Britt, and Kudu. What an amazing lineup, this is going to be something special indeed.

Family Affair Six

Then I fly home on Wednesday to catch up on sleep and try to nail this Dennis Ferrer remix, spend Thursday with my mother working on a project we’ve been talking about, and fly off to Ohio on Friday afternoon to be prepared and present for Family Affair Six.
I’m actually playing Saturday night on the main stage, it’ll be a live/DJ set. I love Family Affair, and am excited to be there.

Second Sunday

2ndsundayflyer1.jpg

As soon as my set’s done at Family Affair, I am headed back to the airport to fly home in time to make the scene at Mission Rock for Second Sunday. I’m playing a Live/DJ set with Jeno, Dirty Vegas, and the Lawnchair Generals. Should be crazy-pants.

Sunday Soul

Then I rush home to broadcast Sunday Soul

And after a couple of busy weeks like that you can be sure I will spend at least a couple of days in bed reading and sleeping.

To think a few weeks ago I was wondering about abundance, staring out my window wondering if I’d ever feel wanted, loved or useful again. What a delightful shift in the flow.

Quel Blessings! Merci!

I figured reading your posts that you were “old school deep.” Only problem now is that it is MUCH harder to get the energy to get to DC tired, knowing that you’ve got an hour drive back home at 3am. I hope the set goes well. And in the small chance you can open the Sunday Soul session let me know. I’ll definitely make it down. And at the least, be listening.

While your doing that, I will be getting ready for costa rica, and then I will be in costa rica, teaching, swinging from trees, learning to surf, and maybe getting a massage or two.

Both gigs (well yours are plural sound superb to me)

The DC Shows were amazing. Simply amazing.

I’m in New York now, getting ready to play tonight with Kudu and King. Can’t wait to see Michael, and get out of this hotel room and hit the street.

    Gino,

Mon fr?ɬre, nothing could have been more wonderful that to see my little man’s face come through the door of my hotel room in DC, into my arms, the smell of his hair, his smile, his kisses, and the pure pleasure and joy of being his father.

    Rien.

And the best news is that I’ll be seeing him again in a couple of weeks, and then wisking him away to San Francisco with me, just my main man and me, to our heads for three weeks in August.

    * grin *

    Yaay!
